I learned a lot from it and made quite a lot of pretty things that I have given as very welcome gifts. I lost my original copy so when I found it on e-bay I had to have another copy. Ribbon embroidery was used then for elaborate decoration of royal and court dress. It was produced by professional embroidery houses and required months of labor.
